DDC stands for Direct Digital Control. This consists of micro-processor-controlled control and regulating systems which are used, for example, in heating and air conditioning technology.
 
These programmable storage systems replace the usual wired relay technologies. The advantages include the fact that the logical links can be changed at any time without having to rewire anything.
 
Modern DDC systems combine regulation, control and optimisation.
