waste water lifting systems
Waste water lifting systems are used for sanitary equipment which has been built into the cellar of a house.
Since waste water pipes are normally laid level with the ground floor of a house, a lifting system is required to pump waste water via pressure hoses into the waste water channel which is higher up. In accordance with DIN 12056-4, the floor of the pressure hose must lie above the flood level.
There are two types of lifting system.
For faeces- free water (grey water):
This term includes domestic waste water from washing maschines and bathtubs. Since they do not normally contain any solid matter the drain water lifting system is normally adequate.
For waste water containing faeces (raw sewage/ black water):
If toilets or urinals have to be drained, a faeces lifting system must be installed.
